The Day Iceland Stood Still – Movie Screening in Reykjanesbær
In 2025, it will mark half a century since women in Iceland ceased both paid and unpaid work, effectively bringing society to a standstill.
To honor this significant occasion, the film The Day Iceland Stood Still will be screened at FélagsBíó in the Reykjanesbær Library on Sunday, September 21. The program starts at 3 p.m. Prior to the film, Gunnhildur Þórðardóttir will delight guests with a poetry recital. Following the screening, Hrafnhildur Gunnarsdóttir, the screenwriter and executive producer, will engage with attendees about the filmmaking process.
Hosted by VSFK and the Reykjanesbær Library.
